As of this month, Neon has been alive and publishing for eight straight years – only two more until the magazine has been going for a decade. I’m very pleased to have published so many excellent poets and authors over the years, and hope to go on doing so for a long time to come.
As well as several new issues of the magazine, this year has seen Neon expand into publishing chapbooks, pamphlets and its own tiny anthology of micro-fiction. The subscriber base has grown steadily, and I’m thrilled to have received submissions from writers all over the world.
To celebrate Neon‘s eighth birthday, I’ll be giving away a free copy of the current issue. To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is like this status on Facebook, or retweet it on Twitter. I’ll pick a winner by the end of the month. Don’t worry if you’ve already got the current issue – in that case I’ll send you the next one to be published instead.
My heartfelt thanks once again to everybody who has read, shared, subscribed to or otherwise supported the magazine. It’s only because of all of you that it has survived so long.
