News: 2014 Pushcart Prize Nominations

Neon's 2014 Pushcart Prize Nominations

A few weeks ago I sent off Neon‘s nominations for next year’s Pushcart Prize. This annual award celebrates the best of the small press, and has been running for over a decade. I made six nominations – a combination of fiction and poetry – out of all the work that has been published in Neon in 2014. Congratulations and best of luck to the authors – you can click the links below to read their work online, or download the issue in which it appeared.

“Postpartum” by Shanalee Smith (37).

“1984 In 1968” by Noel Williams (37).

“The Time The Light Went Out” by Peter Branson (38).

“The Death Of The Motherless Kitten” by Huang Kaishan (38).

“Quicksand” by Matthew Di Paoli (39).

“Allinthistogether” by Jack Houston (39).
