Review Guidelines

Neon Books is always open to books for review and reviewers to write about them. You can find more information below. If you’d like to write for us, or submit your book for review, simply email blog@neonbooks.org.uk. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible if we’d like to go ahead!

Reviewers

We review small press books, poetrynovellas, collections, anthologies and anything that’s a bit in-between. Most reviews are between 350 and 850 words in length.

Reviewers be able to pick items for review from our review shelf, and can suggest titles that they’d like to review – we’ll do our best to get hold of a copy. Reviewers keep everything they write about, and receive editorial support if they require it. We’re happy to look at completed reviews too.

To apply, just get in touch with a couple of writing samples – preferably reviews. Published pieces are great, but if you don’t currently have any writing credits unpublished pieces are fine too; for some of our reviewers the Neon Books blog was their first publication.

Books For Review

We accept small press books, poetry, novellas, collections, anthologies and anything that’s a bit in-between for review. If you’d like to have something reviewed on the blog, please send along a query in the first instance. Include some information about the book, and a link to a place where we can find out more. If it seems like our kind of thing, we’ll get in touch with you to add the title to our review shelf.
